PetPortraits ("the app", "we") is built around a simple principle: your photos are yours. This policy explains what data the app touches, why, and what never leaves your device.
When you create a portrait, the single photo you select is sent over an encrypted connection to our generation server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to create your portrait. The photo is processed transiently — we do not store your photos or your generated portraits on our servers, and we do not use them to train any model. Finished portraits are saved only on your device, in the app's private gallery.
The app can only access photos you explicitly pick through the system photo picker. It never scans or accesses your photo library in the background.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your device Settings.
The free tier may offer optional rewarded video ads (e.g., via Google AdMob) in exchange for extra portraits. Ad providers may use device identifiers for ad delivery and frequency capping, subject to your choice in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Choosing "Ask App Not to Track" is fully respected — you'll simply see non-personalized ads. Your photos and portraits are never shared with ad providers.
We collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (for example, "a portrait was generated" or "the paywall was viewed") to understand which features matter. These events contain no photos, no personal identifiers, and no advertising identifiers.
If you opt in, we send occasional notifications about new portrait styles. You can turn these off anytime in Settings.
PetPortraits is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because your content lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. For any privacy question or request (including GDPR/CCPA requests), contact us at menansali2@gmail.com.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change in the app.
